Breyer State University is pleased to announce our new president, Dr. Thomas Schear, Ph.D. Dr. Schear has been a faculty member with Breyer State for several years and has a great knowledge of online education. Dr. Schear has a BA, MA (1976) from University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, Iowa. Dr. Schear received his PhD (1985) from Columbia Pacific University, San Rafael, California. Additionally, he is a Coach University graduate April 2002. E-Myth Coach Training, E-Myth Academy, Santa Rosa, California (2000-2001). Professional Development classes in Labor Relations/Human Resources, Social Work Administration and Substance Abuse, University of Iowa, Iowa City, Iowa (1987 to 1990). We are very happy to have Dr. Schear as our new president and looking forward to a great future under his leadership with our online MBA and Online PHD programs.

In more staff news, Breyer State University is pleased to announce our new Dean of Faculty, Rosemary Kolenich, EMBA. Ms. Kolenich has been a faculty member and the Director of Finance with Breyer State University since Breyer State first started. She has a great knowledge of online education and the university as well. With her excellent communication and management skills, she will continue the level of excellence we all have come to expect from the Dean of Faculty department. We are very pleased to have Ms. Kolenich joined our staff and looking forward to a great future.

Breyer State University is saddened to announce the passing of Dr. David Kolenich, Ph.D. Dr. Kolenich served as our President and Dean of Faculty while he was with us. He instructed many of the business related courses, namely the Hotel/Restaurant/Food Service management programs. He was beloved by all who knew him both personally and professionally. In additional news, Breyer State University is pleased to announce that we have submitted our application for approval to the California Bureau of Post Secondary Education for a state license. This is a big step for not only Breyer State but for our students, alumni, and faculty as well. A state license can add creditability to a university and allow us to proceed with our national or regional accreditation process.
