RT, the Russian English-language news channel has launched on mobile TV network Yamgo. The round the clock live news channel will be available globally on Smartphones, iPad and Tablets devices.
The Yamgo TV network delivers live TV to mobile devices worldwide using a 2.5G, 3G and Wi-Fi connection. RT is the latest addition to a line-up which now includes music, sports, movies, entertainment and breaking news channels.
The English language RT channel was launched in 2005 and became the first Russian television channel to be shortlisted for an Emmy International Television Award.
With viewers in over 100 countries spread across five continents, the 24 hour news channel has quickly gained popularity amongst an audience that has grown tired of the mainstream media and is dissatisfied with their biased view of the world.
In the USA, people in Washington and New York prefer watching RT to other international news channels such as Europe's Euronews, France's France 24, Germany's Deutsche Welle, the Middle East’s Al Jazeera English, or China's CCTV News.
By launching on the Yamgo network, RT will be available on all leading mobile platforms and devices including iOS (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch), Android (phones and tablets), Nokia, Blackberry, HTC, Samsung and HP webOS.
Presenting Russia's position, RT gives global audiences an alternative view on key global issues and events. Its motto Question More calls for viewers not to assume the position being foisted upon them by most media and to take a non-mainstream perspective before formulating their point of view.
Apart from regular news updates, Yamgo viewers will receive a unique insight into many aspects of Russian history, culture and opinions.
